Our private and picturesque 20 acre facility boasts a wildlife filled lake, two heated swimming pools, nature trails, spacious ball fields, challenge course, climbing wall, zipline, as well as several athletic and creative arts facilities.

Activities for Every Interest

Our dynamic sports program is a variety of both court and field sports. Children have the opportunity to try a new sport for the first time as well as develop skills in their favorite.

The Summer Trails program is a combination of fine arts and performance arts allows our campers to explore their creative side.

Our exceptional Red Cross Swim program meets each camper at their level. From beginning stroke development through advanced lifeguard training.

Part of what makes Summer Trails special is the ability for campers to simply play! Built in each day is a little bit of time for campers to participate in Good Old Fashioned fun activities.

Fun on our Natural Pond

Summer Trails is fortunate to be the only private day camp in Westchester County with a natural pond. Row boating, paddle boating, fishing, frog catching and nature study each take place at our pond. Additionally, it is always a highlight when Jaws, our camp turtle, surfaces for special treats. New for 2023 campers will be able to swoosh high in the sky across the pond on our brand new zipline!

Transportation

Summer Trails has a variety of different transportation options designed to meet the needs of each individual family.

Parent Drop Off/ Pick Up- The camper is brought to camp by their parent’s everyday between 9-9:15am and picked up at camp daily between 4-4:30pm
Off Site Dismissal Location- The camper is brought to camp by their parent’s everyday between 9-9:15am and picked up at a satellite location at 3:50 daily. This extra convenience is provided at no additional cost.
Camp Transportation- Centralized satellite shuttle transportation is available for an additional fee. We use top of the line school buses and vans equipped with air conditioning driven by professional drivers.
Extended Hours- We provide early morning care starting at 7:30am and extended day care until 6:30 pm for an additional fee at Summer Trails. You can choose either morning or afternoon service or both depending on your schedule. This time at camp is an organized and supervised free play time for your child and the afternoon includes an additional free swim.

Where are you located?

We are located at 93 Mahopac Ave in Granite Springs, a hamlet of Somers in the northern part of Westchester County.

What is the facility like?

Summer Trails is operated on 20 privately owned sprawling acres. We have two heated swimming pools in our aquatics complex, a picturesque pond full of adventure and wildlife, challenging vertical and horizontal climbing walls, a fantastic playground, five indoor facilities, as well as numerous fields, courts, and crafts areas. Additionally, we have a dynamic zip line over our pond and an above ground climbing adventure course.
